1. Installation

In WordPress: Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme → choose summary.zip → Install → Activate.

2. Activate your license

Open Summary → License and enter the license key from your Media Serve store account. A license covers one site and isn’t needed on local development sites.

3. Automatic updates

Once activated, every new version appears in Dashboard → Updates and in Summary → License → Updates. Click “Update now”, or “Turn on automatic updates” and the theme updates itself. Your settings, customizations and homepage are kept.

4. Import a demo

Open Summary → Import Demo, choose Arabic or English at the top, and click Import on the demo you like. In the import window:

• Remove the previous demo content: removes only the old sample content.
• Keep my site data: keeps your name, logo, menus, widgets, social links, codes and ads — only the design changes.
• Import the sample posts: turn it off to apply the design to your real posts.
• Switch the site language: appears when the demo language differs from your site, and sets the WordPress language to match the demo.

The “Remove demo content” button removes all sample content in one click without touching your real posts.

5. Homepage

Summary → Homepage: add sections, and blocks inside each section. Drag to reorder, click a block to edit it, and open “Design & visibility” for its color, title and background. At the top you can load any demo layout and rename or recolor your categories.

6. Widgets

Appearance → Widgets: every theme widget starts with “Summary —”. Set your site’s country and city in Summary → Settings → General, and the gold, currency, weather and prayer widgets use them as defaults.

7. Language

The theme follows the WordPress language (Settings → General → Site Language): Arabic shows right to left, while English and every other language show left to right with the English translation. The Summary dashboard follows your user language.

8. Data sources

• Currencies and gold: a free open source (CC0), refreshed once a day in the background, with a backup copy inside the theme.
• Weather: MET Norway (CC BY 4.0), fetched by your server with caching.
• Live stocks: official TradingView widgets, loaded only when they reach the screen.
• Prayer times: calculated inside the theme without any outside service.

9. Speed

Summary → Settings → Speed: disable emoji and wp-embed, preload the post image and store fonts locally. The theme works with LiteSpeed Cache and WP Rocket.
